The Farm
One ridge, three generations, and a few good things grown side by side.
The next generation, already running the hillOur Story
Rooted on a hilltop in
central Pennsylvania.
In 2012, Dave Russell and his son William began raising grass-fed cattle on the family's land. What grew from there is a true family operation — Dave's lifelong farming know-how, Will's eye for detail, and a next generation already underfoot, learning the work.
Today the hilltop holds lavender, longhorns, and live fire — and a standing invitation to come share in it.
What You'll Find
Three trades, one hill

Lydia's Lavender
Three hundred rows in bloom
What began as a small garden experiment is now the heart of the farm — over 300 lavender plants, hand-harvested each summer and distilled on-site. Walk the rows, cut a bundle, or just breathe it in.

From the Pit
Live-fire, low and slow
Our barbecue started the way everything here did — around a fire, with family. Pasture-raised beef, hickory smoke, and Daddy Dave's dry rub, served at our BBQ nights and catered gatherings.

The Herd
Texas Longhorns, raised gentle
A registered herd of Texas Longhorns grazes the pastures — bred for gentle temperament, strong genetics, and the iconic color the breed is known for. Meet them up close on a sunset tour.
